Port Lavaca Chamber Wins Second Place at Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Media Awards

PORT LAVACA – The Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce recently participated in a Media Contest held by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE). The Chamber is proud to announce we received second place awards for entries in the “Brochures” category as well as the “Marketing Campaigns” category.

The TCCE Media Contest is a statewide competition identifying and recognizing excellent work in the areas of chamber marketing and media efforts. A panel of experts in the respective field judged Media Contest entries in each category and provided feedback (when appropriate) based on the following criterion:

Brochures- Judges examined the content and writing, visual elements, and whether the piece achieves its purpose.

Marketing Campaigns- This incorporates the entire media mix as it promotes the Chamber and its area for economic development and tourism. The judges concentrated on how the campaign captures the "voice" of the chamber, community and area

“Receiving these awards is a huge accomplishment for the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce and its members” Chamber President Chris Wall said. “This recognition demonstrates we have the attention of communities and organizations all across the state. These awards prove people are noticing our efforts to increase brand recognition, market our community and promote our Chamber businesses and individuals.”

Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chris Hines said this is a step in the right direction.

“Winning awards is nice and we’re obviously excited to have been recognized, but the really great part is demonstrating value to our investors. Why should your business be involved with the Chamber? The why is because the Chamber promotes this region and puts your name and business in front of potential clients and customers in an award winning way every day.”
